Grace & Spiritus Chorale of Brooklyn invites you to support our inspiring concerts of choral music by advertising in our upcoming 35th anniversary concert program. The 75-member ensemble is a community chorus based in Brooklyn Heights dedicated to serving the wider Brooklyn community. We present choral masterpieces from early music to contemporary composers including many newly commissioned works.
Under the leadership of our new Music Director, Jason Asbury, the chorus has renewed its commitment to promoting and cultivating the art of choral singing in Brooklyn. A September 11, 2011 memorial concert of “In a Fog, Remember,” at Saint Ann’s Church, a tree-lighting ceremony on Montague Street, a Black History Month celebration with the choir of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church in Bedford-Stuyvesant, and our upcoming Spring Concert at the Brooklyn Music School are some of the activities that make Grace & Spiritus a true cultural resource for the Borough of Brooklyn.
We present six concerts each year with performances in Brooklyn Heights, Fort Greene and Park Slope. On May 11, 2012, we perform a Brooklyn themed concert that includes Benjamin Britten’s “A Hymn to St. Cecilia,” Jonathan Elliott’s “A Garden,” Aaron Copland’s “The Tender Land” and selections from George Gershwin’s “Porgy and Bess” which we will perform along with choral music by Brooklyn composers Brian McAnuff, Gregory Eaton, and David Hurd. To complete our program, Grace & Spiritus will premiere a composition by our new Assistant Director, composer Matthew Henning.
Your advertisement in our program will display your business to discerning audiences throughout Brooklyn. The programs for Spring 2012 and Winter 2013 will be distributed at six concerts and we will include you in the list of supporters on our website. Your advertisement will show your support for live performances of contemporary and classical choral music in Brooklyn.
There are a variety of ad sizes and costs that you can choose from, including full-page ads that can be placed in the most prominent positions in the programs. Other full-page ads can be placed throughout the program at a lower cost. You can send your ad copy to ads@graceandspiritus.org. Our ad program deadline this year is March 15, 2012.
